Home Sweet Second Grade Home

I walked into our new classroom. First, I had to take a deep breath and control all the OCD components of my personality and the immediate need to break into uncontrollable tears.
Let's say the word together.
Overwhelmed.

Then, I took a moment to assess the masses of boxes, desks, chairs, and "stuff". I begged asked my children Amy and Ryan to come in and help me. We managed to organize quite a bit. Well, organize might be a bit far fetched, but we separated the mess to a somewhat workable palette for what comes next. There is a library section, writing section, desks in a workable fashion facing the white boards and a teacher/desk area.

Bins have new homes, shelves have found a place and soon--SOON all of the boxes will be empty and I can work on the actual "stuff" that is part of second grade!

Tackling the big stack of boxes seems to have eased my mind and now I am waiting for a morning to go in for some additional organization! It's slowly but surely becoming our second grade home!
