
AH! The smell of yeast! Today to end our study of Early Americans, we made bread! BREAD! We kneaded, smacked, punched and twisted bread into 24 small containers to bake!
The one good thing about the portable? We have a radiator to put the tins on for rising bread! :) The students were very impressed with how the yeast makes the little bits of dough double in size!
Parents have volunteered supplies and time to bake the bread this evening. Tomorrow we will celebrate in our pajamas, reading books, eating freshly baked bread with apple butter.
