The school year has been flying by! Every time I get a chance to sit down and write about what we are doing--we are moving on to something else!
Our homeroom has been filled with The 13 Colonies. We focused on the explorers first and now looking at how England impacted our nation. John Smith, Virginia Dare, Jamestown, Lost Colony of Roanoke are just a few of the things we have learned about.
Over the next few weeks, we will drill our focus down to learn about Colonial Boston. Our classroom will become a colony-- well, we will recreate Boston! Students will assume a role within a family unit and "become" a colonist!
I will post pictures and share with you the excitement we have as we learn about early life in America.
AND--on the radar--our Colonial Boston day. I will need many helpers as we prepare clam chowder, pressed loose leaf tea, and make crafts!
