The Angry Red Pen

I love colored ink pens. I like purple, red, green, blue...you name it! Today as I was correcting math with a super cool red pen I thought! ACK! RED! ANGRY RED! I have heard that many teachers do not use red because it brings back memories of big angry red marks across incorrect work.

If any of you parents have ever had that happen to you, I am taking the moment to tell you now, I do not correct papers angry! Nor, do I have an ANGRY red pen! I try to treat all pen colors the same and typically choose one at my fancy. Today, it was red. I like red. I like the red pen that I have and how it writes. So tomorrow in your child's Friday Folder, you will find a corrected problem solver in RED. It is however, not angry red, it is HEY! This is a good part RED and I really liked THIS part red and THIS part can be better if you do THIS red.

I think I might call it radical red. I am a rebel like that.

  1. Awesome! Josh said that the class was having a hard time with "quick and quiet transitions". I bet you would like to put a little red pen on that! :-)
