DAY ONE! What a wonderful start to 2nd grade. I am incredibly pleased to see so many faces that I recognized AND that grew over the summer--and the addition of our new students.
Our day started off with a review of classroom expectations, routines, WHERE to find things and how we will learn this year. Calendar, class helpers, class library, HOW we turn in papers, notes from mom, lunch money...all of those things that are long forgotten over the summer when the sun shines and the days are long. NO one cares about lunch money in August! Today-- nachos are important and how we pay for nachos also important!
We reviewed math today and started with writing. We are jumping right into Pioneers after last recess as we enjoy our snack and review the day with our brand new planners!
Today you will find a packet in your child's backpack. PLEASE send the papers back to school asap. :)
