Such Sweetness

I decided if I ever wanted to feel good about myself, ALL I have to do is read second grade journals.

As part of my efforts to connect to EACH student I have an interactive journal. The concept is simple. Students write to me. I respond to them. Sometimes I plan to give them a prompt and ask questions, but sometimes, like yesterday, I just give them the opportunity to write anything that strikes their fancies.

I read them today during writing time. SUCH SWEETNESS! I have included a few pictures of the writing:

So, if you ever feel like you need a pick me up....read a student's journal. I got to hear how beautiful and wonderful my daughters are (They have stopped by the past few days) and how much everyone likes my dresses and thinks I am pretty! AWWW!! MUST LOVE SECOND GRADERS!!

I responded to all of the journals today. I don't even care if they were trying to score brownie points!!
